[티브이데일리=이경호 기자] 그룹 2PM의 4월 복귀에 팬들의 반응이 싸늘하다.
2PM의 소속사 JYP 엔터테인먼트 측이 5일 "2PM이 4월 말 컴백할 예정"이라고 밝혔다. 이번 컴백은 디지털 싱글 형식이 아닌 미니 음반 형식으로 가요계로 돌아오게 되는 것.
현재 2PM 멤버들은 TV 드라마와 쇼 프로에 출연하며 개인활동을 하고 있다. 그런데 이들의 컴백 소식에 팬들은 "짐승이 돌아온다"라는 반응을 보이고 있다.
지난 2월 2PM의 멤버 재범의 영구탈퇴 소식이 전해졌고, 이후 팬들은 이들을 '짐승돌'에서 '짐승'으로 부르게 됐다. 현재의 2PM을 수식하는 짐승이라는 표현은 사람이 아닌 동물을 의미한다. 일반적으로는 좋지 않은 표현이다.
이전까지만 해도 2PM은 '짐승돌'로서 강한 남성의 이미지로 팬들의 사랑을 받아왔다. 이들을 향한 팬들의 마음이 돌아섰음을 극명하게 보여주는 대목이기도 하다.
또 한 팬들은 "재범의 활동 소식이 들리자 2PM이 이를 막아보려고 컴백하는 거냐? 짐승같은 복귀!"라며 거칠게 비난했다. 이 같은 반응은 최근 2PM의 전 멤버였던 재범이 국내 팬들에게 소식을 전하면서 2PM이 재범을 향한 관심을 빼앗으려 한다는 발상 때문으로 보인다.
재범의 사건이후 여전히 팬들에게 따가운 눈총을 받고 있는 2PM. 4월 말 팬들이 과연 그들에게 어떤 반응을 보이게 될지 많은 이들의 관심이 집중되고 있다.

The members of 2PM are currently doing individual activities on various show programs and dramas. After hearing of their comeback, their fans have been showing a strongly negative response, referring to it as 'The beasts are returning.'
Last February, 2PM member Jaebum was completely withdrawn from the group. Since then, fans have changed the group's nickname of 'Beastly Idols' into just 'Beasts,' meaning that they are not humans but are animals. It holds an obvious negative connotation.
Before the controversy, 2PM had received the love of fans for their 'beastly idol' image. This change in nickname is a definite show of the change in opinion of their fans.
Some fans have shown a rough response, stating, "Are they coming back now because they're trying to block off Jaebum's activities in the states? They're less than animals!" Fans currently believe that 2PM is trying to steal the spotlight from Jaebum, since news of his current activities are being relayed to the fans in Korea.
After the Jaebum controversy, fans have been continually sending a negative response to 2PM. Much attention is being put towards whether the fans will show the same response with their comeback at the end of April.
