"Jaebum was chosen because of three things: dance, English, and image."

Hype Nation's producer, Jason Lee, recently met up with a journalist in Yeoido and revealed a few background stories on Jaebum's casting. He stated, "Jaebum is a b-boy with outstanding dancing and rap talents. He's also fluent in English and has an image of a cute bad guy. He was perfect for the role."

"Jaebum and I already knew each other and so I contacted him last February through email and offered to cast him. He immediately agreed and signed the contract in March, along with an agreement to participate in the original sound track. He's already receiving acting an dancing lessons in America. He'll be going to Korea in June with 300 staff members and will be opening a press conference."

Jaebum will be rapping in a Teddy Riley produced track titled 'Demon.' He has also featured in a Snoop Dogg remake of David Bowie's 'Fame' and a song by an American R&B singer titled 'Addict.'

Jason Lee went on to state, "We'll be releasing Demon in July in both America and Korea. The rest of the sound track will be matched to the movie release. In December, we'll be touring Asia and New York to promote the movie."

Regarding Jaebum's private life mistake and 2PM withdrawal, Jason Lee was asked whether any statement or announcement can be expected with Jaebum's return to Korea.

He answered, "I am not in any position to answer that. Jaebum's spending time with his family and has quit his part time job in order to prepare for the movie. He's been attending church. Jaebum may have contracted with me for only a movie but I want to help him with his other activities in America."
