100726 Incheon Hallyu Concert bills top stars, including SuJu, SNSD, 2PM, & SonDamBi
Seoul, Korea – On August 29 at 7:00 pm, the Incheon Korean Music Wave 2010 will open at the Incheon Munhak World Cup Stadium.
Hosted by Incheon City in 2009 and organized by HH Company, (and broadcast by MBC), the Incheon Korean Wave Festival 2009 starred Rain, Super Junior, SNSD, 2PM, SHINee, Brown-Eyed Girls, M (Minwoo Lee), and other top Korean artists who performod before an audience of about 50,000 fans from Korea and overseas. The event, which included fan meetings and autograph sessions, was covered by the Korean media, and was also in the spotlight in the Japanese, Chinese, Taiwanese, Hong Kong, and other overseas media.
This is the sophomore year for the Incheon Korean Music Wave, and the lineup is nothing short of top-notch. The first-line members were announced to much fan attention. Included were Super Junior, 2PM, SNSD, SHINee, SonDamBi, U-kiss, B2ST, MBLAQ, After School, SG Wannabe, and CNBlue.
HH Company, the organizers of the event, explained that “through mass presentation of top-level Korean Hallyu celebrities at the Incheon Concert, we attract tourists both at home and abroad, and in comparison to other large-scale concerts, this event has long-term goals of developing Hallyu music content. Every year, new Hallyu stage content will be presented by stars to move the K-pop festival center-stage and firmly plant it as Asia’s most prominent pop festival. Incheon will develop into the Hub of Asian Music.”
