In the center of traditionally skilled b-boy teams lies a group named the 'Gorilla Crew' that has mastered both b-boying and hip hop dance. They began the 'performance Hallyu wave' with their 2007 "The B-boy & The Ballerina," even performing all the way over at New York's Broadway. They've been touring many different countries and have earned much respect in the process. They are the very group that gave birth to the new 'b-boy Hallyu.'
Gorilla Crew will be making a return with 'RETURN,' a musical performance made only with music, dancing, and impressive lighting.
Omitted non-Jay related interview.
If so, what do the members have to say to Jaebum?
One of the figures first thought of when one hears the term 'b-boy' is no one other than Jaebum. As someone of the same genre, we asked what they thought of him. Kim Hyunmoon answered, "We need a star like Jaebum. I saw him perform at a 3:30 b-boy battle and him and his team won by a milestone. Even as he was walking out, the screams from the crowd were ear shattering despite the other team using difficult moves and showing exceptional skill..." He added as an after thought, "Of course, there are dancers that are better than Jaebum that exists, you know."
Cha Hochan added, "That's quite a dangerous statement you made (laughter). I'd like for our team to have someone like Jaebum as well. Someone as cool and amazing as him..."
Jung Sungtaec, who merely listened to the conversation up to this point, mentioned, "I hope for Jaebum to come see our performance one day." When asked why, he stated, "So we get a bigger audience," causing the rest of the members to burst out in laughter.
Despite it all, these are the members that were criticized for performing 'The B-boy & The Ballerina,' constantly being told that it wasn't a 'true form of dance.' The members, however, didn't seem to care, and were rather full of confidence and freedom, showing that they had to endure a lot of obstacles in order to reach a point where they can just look back and laugh, just like now.
