Thai recap: Namhom @2pmalways | Thai-Eng: Muize @2pmalways
(*Translated only JYP’s interview)
JYP- I’ve been working with professionals whether it is music, fashion or dance. Japanese composers and producers make songs for TVXQ whereas we work with ones from Korea, it’s like challenging. We won’t ship off our “singers” but we send our “feelings” over there
(Skip 2PM concert)
JYP- A huge difference of Japan and Korea is populations. Japan has approximately 120 million while 40 million in Korea. Whatever Japan does, surely it’ll be successful even within its country. Unlike Japan, Korea can’t do it since we have only 40 million. That’s why we have to step forward into foreign markets ranging from music, movies, automobiles to Samsung
(After JYP’s photo shown)
JYP – There has always been Soul and Black music in Japan. In the past, there were Kuwata Band and Kuwata of Southern All Stars. I was amazed by the song called SKIPPED BEAT when I was in high school
(JYP’s giving the example of the song)
The boys at the airport in Japan. The narrator said that they were singers whose the producer was JYP. During the press conference, Taec said he was proud to be called Beast idol
(Back to JYP)
JYP- Formerly, Japan kept making the development in its music so we became listeners. But at this moment, it’s the other way around. Japanese become listeners to Korean songs instead. But, of course it’ll go back and forth like this again; Korean songs to Japan and then Japanese ones to Korea. It’s the cycle of life.
