On December 6, 2PM, who’s known as beast idols, had arrived in Japan and immediately held the press conference at a hotel. I myself had attended the conference and just got back minutes ago.
Concisely, their manners and reactions are incredible. I remembered it as if it was shining
Their clothes were all black making me realize how well their bodies had been trained. During the interview, they had to use Japanese from time to time. Since the date of making a debut in Japan had been set and despite of the tight schedule, they seemed to work hard on studying Japanese.
I had a chance to ask them. My question was about Japanese singers or anything in Japan that they liked. Chansung said that he liked mystery so he was a fan of Higashino keigo and that he had read almost of his books. Junsu, who was fond of art, had a collection of Japanese artworks. Nichkhun said that he was hooked on Utada Hikaru’s song called first Love. That’s why his had nearly all her albums in collection. In addition, he admired Matsumoto Jun from Gokusen. After hearing them talking, it feels like they’re experts of Japan.
There was also a question about the difference between Korean fans and Japanese ones. “Japanese fans are a bit shy even when they give us presents. They’ll say “excuse me…”” replied Taeceyon.
And a question about where in Korea that they wanted Japanese people to visit. Wooyoung suggested his hometown, Busan, saying that his recommendation was Busan in which a splendid beach named Haeundae located. He wanted us to taste its sushi. While Nichkhun’s suggestion “I’ll take you to Thailand and to Phuket” causing Taecyeon to retort “We’re talking about Korea!” to reply to this, Nichkhun said “I know that!” making the room filled with laughs.
Then we moved to another room to record Asahi TV’s Yajiuma Terebi. The entertainment news announcer came to make an interview so I joined but as an observer. They must have remembered me because as soon as they entered the room they politely greeted me. What I can recall precisely during the interview is their respects (to the listeners) regardless of this young age and the way they answered firmly to the questions. I kept wondering if Japanese idols would be able to answer as good as they were doing.
There was a time when my eyes met Nichkhun’s and he smiled gently, that’s so cute.
The interview ended after 30 mins passed. As people were getting on their feet, they turned to greet me as if I was a producer. A senior who looked like a big brother bowed for me and went back in a good mood.
It’s said that stars who were born in Korea place importance on manners. This must be true because they’re very well-mannered. Their eyes were full of ambitions of stepping forward to big markets such U.S. and China.
Personally, I think either 2PM or Shinee could steal TVXQ’s place. They’re groups of nice guys who I wish them great success in Japan.
