Will idols take over the big screen?
Chungmuro has been showing significant interest in 'idols.' Director Park Jinpyo cast GaIn (Brown Eyed Girls) for his movie 'My Love Beside Me.' KBS 2TV's drama 'Iris' also featured Big Bang's TOP, who will also be featured in the movie 'Into the Gunfire,' his first official big screen debut.
Idols that are talented in acting are being perceived as rising stars with high potential. A movie industry associate claimed that the two idol stars that are receiving the spotlight are 2NE1's Sandara Park and 2PM's Taecyeon.

Taecyeon has also become the best male actor amongst his fellow idols. Associates have come forward to state that a lot of movies preparing for production are considering Taecyeon as their male lead.
Taecyeon's influence in KBS 2TV's 'Cinderella Sister' is large. Taecyeon was able to surprise the mass public by perfectly showing off his country dialect along with comfortable acting skills that exceeded the expectations of many. Because of his many different charismatic points both on stage and off, his manly but cute visual has grabbed the attention of Chungmuro associates.
An associate of the celebrity industry stated, "There are many production companies and PD's that are aiming for Taecyeon. He's not as expensive to use as top stars but is still able to bring about the same effect."
