[NEWS] 100515 Either the heavens helped 2PM, or the Music Bank PD did

f(x)'s dream of taking #1 for the first time ever on Music Bank has been crushed. Music Bank's change of chart calculations brought about results that exchanged the joys and sorrows for 2PM and (fx). f(x) was within grasp of their success, having always worked hard as singers, but unfortunately, were met with despair on the doorsteps of the results of their efforts. The problem was the point distribution in the sudden calculation changes Music Bank made for their K-chart.

Recently, there has been much complaint about the level of album sales affecting the overall score. Music Bank had always stated that they would be making the appropriate changes, but their sudden and unexpected change has instead brought about results that stole a win from f(x)'s hands. Calculations showed f(x) confirmed for #1 but with the 5% drop in album sales points, f(x) was met with failure and will not be given another chance due to Super Junior's comeback and explosive album sales, confirming their win for the coming weeks.

The difference between 2PM's #1 win and f(x)'s total scores only amount to a 614 point difference, making it obvious that the changes made in the album sales percentages was the problem. If there wasn't the difference in percentages, f(x) could've surpass 2PM by over 1,000 points. However, 2PM eventually won #1 with their album sales for the first time last week, and won #1 again with the severe decrease in points on f(x)'s end this week.

It is definite that either the heavens helped 2PM, or the Music Bank PD did.

f(x) will have to just take this disappointment as an opportunity to slowly advance themselves further. As rookies, they already have outstanding talents and so there will be more opportunities to come. Regardless of the upset feelings, Music Bank's boards have been flooded with negative opinions on Music Bank's changes. As seen with Super Junior's comeback, the album sales category for Music Bank's chart is nothing more than a bomb.

Omitted information already revealed.

Music Bank, on the outside, looked as if they had made their system more fair with the changes made, but in reality, KBS only made it more severe.

It has become easier for the PDs to rig the system themselves by throwing in points to one artist or outcasting another artist. One may not want to believe that such an act is possible, but reality shows that it is. Even if there isn't anything rigged, they always have the power to refuse entrance to certain companies, turning Music Bank, once again, into a crippled chart. There has already been speculation regarding Music Bank's changes about whether big companies are trying to streghten their hold on Music Bank.

Music Bank's chart, overall, is very disappointing in that there is not one good intention that can be properly interpreted from it. Music Bank's charts previously showed more transparency in comparison to SBS's "Secret Charts" but it seems as if it will be hard for Music Bank to continue that concept.

Music Bank forcefully squeezed in their own selfish greed into their charts and have given up on reporting fair results. Public broadcast rankings are now determined by nothing more than their own decisions. It's a bitter feeling for those that once defended the weight of Music Bank's results.

Yesterday's Music Bank scores were all made up.
Hyori, Hot Potato, and f(x)'s scores were calculated using 10%.
Only 2PM's was calculated using 15%.
2PM's score was 7-900 points higher than it was supposed to be.
And f(x)'s points dropped by 900.
The original rank was supposed to f(x) -> Hot Potato -> Hyori
But Music Bank still refuses to admit their mistake.

Music Bank made up the points. Hanteo's album points clearly shows that Music Bank made up their own points. 2PM's score reflected 15%, Hyori's 10%. f(x)'s, 7%. Does Music Bank normally just give different points to each artist? If the points weren't made up like this, f(x) would've taken #1.

Everyone shut up, the Music Bank PD is obviously a 2PM fan.
