[NEWS] 100302 Advertising companies feels the effects of boycotts



It is being expected for companies that are using 2PM as their models to be receiving much complaint by the fans.

2PM's fanclub Hottest is promoting boycott for the eight products that 2PM is currently working as advertisement models for. Fans have stated that if they do not use a new model or refilm the advertisements including Park Jaebum, the boycotts will continue.

Companies that are currently using 2PM as their models are busy in preparation of a countermeasure. A foreign company that uses 2PM has been put in a bad situation as not only Korean fans but foreign fans alike have stated a boycott stance on their products.

An associate of advertisement stated, "Companies cannot ignore the voices of the fans because the CF's that feature 2PM target their fanbase and their age group. They also cannot change the models due to the contracts. Most of the companies are currently waiting for the situation to blow over."

TV programs that 2PM are featuring in are also put in a sticky situation. 2PM fans have been flcoking to the boards of various TV shows such as Family Outing 2, Win Win, Inkigayo, and M Countdown, requesting for the members to be taken off the show.

Although the requests of the fans won't bring down the ratings of these shows in a short period of time, if they continue to persist, broadcasting companies have stated that it will be hard for them to use 2PM since idols rely entirely on their image.
