[NEWS] 100426 B.O.B. earns $300K in Korea because of Jay, + The Kwon Effect

Thanks to Jay, American Pop star B.O.B raised more than 300,000 USD worth of sales in Korea.

On 27th, Warners Music announced that B.O.B's single Nothin' On You, which was released on March 16th in Korea, swept over number one spot on the major online music charts like Cyworld, DosiRock,
MelOn, MNET, Bugs, and SoriBada for more than a month, and it earned more than 300,000 USD worth of sales.

Analysis follows that this is the effect of Jay's cover video, which was unveiled
on his YouTube channel during March.

Warners Music associate mentioned that "thanks to Jay's cover video, Nothin' On You topped various music charts after its release, and even till now the song is keeping its number one spot."

B.O.B is not the only pop singer who is enjoying this special effect caused by idol stars. 2AM Jo Kwon sang Karina's Slow Motion on MBC's 'Sebakwi,' and even though this song was released more than a year ago, it topped the online charts for a while.

Omitted. Not related to Jay or 2AM.

Regarding this, Warners Music associate reviewed that "Thanks to Idol stars, newbie pop stars could get a chance to get attention in Korea. Also, this is very exciting because hidden masterpieces could be re-evaluated by Korea's small pop market."

Meanwhile, B.O.B's Nothin' On You that is getting many attentions from Korea thanks to Jay
is right now running 1st place on Billboard Hot 100 Chart as well.
