The path that JYPE is walking is a difficult one.
JYPE themselves attempted to offer a bus service for Dream Concert for the fans of their artists but had to eventually cancel. On the 13th, they stated on 2PM's official fancafe, Hottests, that plans of 'van booking' were to be canceled due to lack of sign ups in the first and second phases of the bookings.
This is proof alone that 2PM's fans have left them due to the Jaebum controversy. And because of the 'Wonder Girls mistreatment speculation,' fans have lost all trust regarding JYPE. It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that a lot of fans have turned their backs on the company.
This group is home to popular artists such as 2PM, 2AM, and the Wonder Girls. 'Dream Concert' is a large event produced by the major record labels of the country, but more accurately, it is a battle of pride against each company.
JYPE thought that fans would be be flocking to fill the seats of their sections and set up a bus service to accommodate them but was met with intense embarrassment when they could not even fill the buses, thus leading to the cancellation.
It's a shocking situation for JYPE. 2PM has reached the top on various music charts but with the Wonder Girls' return on the 16th, the level of public interest is actually an embarrassment.
Last year, the trust for 2PM and JYPE was amazing. With Jaebum's leave due to his Myspace controversy, fans desperately waited for his return while JYPE acted as if they were in preparation. However, in February, they eventually terminated him instead.
At such a surprising announcement, fans requested a clarification of the truth but JYPE only repeated Jaebum's private life mistake. Regardless, Jaebum will be returning to the nation in June through for a movie recording and with news of his future activities in America, fans were only met with betrayal once more against JYPE.
With 2PM's new nicknames such as 'Traitor Idol' and 'The real beasts,' the reactions from the fans are painfully obvious.
With the Wonder Girls' mistreatment speculations in America, the fans were once again met with disappointment. Even though members Sunye and Yeeun attempted to ameliorate the situation through their twitters and fancafe posts, the fans that have left them are refusing to return.
JYPE has also rejected the claims through an announcement and even attempted to clarify the prices of the Wonder Girls' albums in America, but the public did not accept it. They have lost all credit with the public.
Why? The answer can be clearly seen in just 2PM's situation alone. Before Jaebum's complete termination, 2PM repeatedly talked about "Jaebum's position (in the team)" and acted as if they were waiting for him through their performances. The results were, however, nothing short of disappointment and they were quick to throw him out, leading the fans to turn their backs on them.
It's clear that fans are disappointed with JYPE, sending signals of distrust towards their direction. The mass public no longer believes in JYPE. They no longer believe in JYPE because they already broke their promise of Jaebum's return.
Fans are now calling JYPE the 'the boy who called wolf.' JYPE will never be able to regain their trust from their fans.
In June, Jaebum is set to come. Depending on his statements, the situation can be met with vast changes. But for now, JYPE is in a desperate struggle.
