With amazing acrobatics, hip-hop rhythims and the voices like movie stars, South Koreans Junsu, Jaebeom, Wooyoung, Nichkhun, Junho, Chansung and Taecyeon entered the Asian music market in 2008, and were there to stay.

They Were More
These boys started out when they were just teenagers, passing the arduous auditions for the well-known musical agency, JYP Entertainment, they first appeared in 2008 under the name One Day on the “Hot Blood Men” documentary. In this program (where ten members are present) three were eliminated, they stayed as the seven that would eventually form the group.

They debuted with the song “10 out of 10”, showing off their dancing talents and making their debut EP, “Hottest Time of the Day”, an instant success. The boys were immediately known for the energy they used during their complicated choreographies. They also displayed amazing changes with every performance.

In 2009, the group were already enjoying their success which was strengthened with their second EP, “2:00PM Time for Change” which was comprised of seven tracks, Again & Again being the most successful.

Sextet
The group experienced a new phase with Jaebum’s departure, which was made official in 2010, but began in September of 2009. According to a few sources, the problem began when the singer began writing messages which were considered offensive by Koreans, because although his family is from that country, he was born and raised in the United States (Seattle).

This angered producers and others, making him ask for forgiveness. As stated by the company though, he has left the group due to something he had done during Again & Again promotions which was “inappropriate”, but this act has not been publicly revealed.

During this change, the group came out with their first album, “The First Album 1:59PM” (the number signified Jaebum’s departure), with songs including his voice.
Despite the problems (and the demand of millions of fans) the boys overcame it all and became a sensation in Thailand, Malaysia, China, the Philippines and the competitive Japan, becoming number one in sales.
