It's been little over a month since the conspiracy-like conference happened, and 2PM announced that they were releasing a new album on April 23rd. Yesterday or the day before that, a person who was 33 posted up an apparently leaked track of 2PM, but his YouTube was made just the day before his post and got many critism saying, 'Is it all noise marketing again?', and didn't even become an article. In reality, if you aren't a member of DCInside's 2PM Gallery (They call it the 'Settlement Gallery' nowadays. This is because it's named the 2PM gallery, but really, it's now flooded with Jaebum's fans and antifans that have turned their backs on 2PM), you wouldn't even know if the track was leaked or not. They say the real opposite of love is not hate but indifference, and 2PM is going under a lot of indifference right now.
On every article about them, there is over few thousands of negative comments, and some media companies are even straight up front about taking them down. The problem is that such articles get more reactions than indifference, therefore putting all those articles up on the news rankings. In the positive 2PM articles, they are overflowing more and more with negative comments. Park Jaebum's fans said, 'We won't give any attention to you, whatever you do', but there are more 'antis' hoping for their sole destruction in different countries, different races, and are different organisms. Also, as idol singers, 2PM has gained too many antis. These antis could be viewed as more threatening because they only not include Park Jaebum's fans, or original fans that have now turned on them, but most of the before-neutral, 'public citizens' that were affected.
In April, giant stars are making their comeback. Because of the Chun-Ahm ship incident, they pushed back their comebacks, making their comeback dates overlap more than before. Rain, the king of performance, was already attracting attention from before, and sexy diva Lee Hyori will also be releasing her album soon. These clashes of fandoms between these stars' fandoms and the idol group (2PM's) fandom aren't it. Bigbang is coming back. Looking at this situation neutrally, all fan mind put aside, Bigbang outdoes 2PM in everything except for their average height. Their singing, the level of the completion of the songs, stage performance and even in the power/capacity of the fandom, Bigbang overwhelms 2PM.
2PM's fandom, which is 1/2 years old, was originally small in total and also was made up of a lot of light fans, but after the Park Jaebum incident, all the light fans were gone and the fandom was split into many pieces. It isn't an overstatement to say that the fates of idol singers are in their fandoms' hands. Fandoms buy albums by 10s, buy their digital singles, they put on their music on streaming all day, it is the fandom's work to vote and put their 'oppa's in the 1st place in music programs, buying the commercial products their idols endorse is also the fandom's work, and they do so many other things that cannot all be mentioned.
JYPE seems to be planning to create an entirely new fandom to replace the old one. No, it is what they have to do for 2PM because they have so little support from the fandom. Right now, JYPE might be not shielding 2PM because of reasons such as their brain being scattered all over the place because of the 'Not legally problematic but the very socially striking personal life problem', or the Wonder Girls' 'Advancement into the world' causing them to not have any time to pay attention to them, but to the public, it just seems to be 'Just kinda trying to get along, get some money off them, and then throw them away'.
If this is it, then the individual members really have to get moving and find a way to feed and live off of, but it's a problem that they not only have the stamp of 'the icon of betrayal', but they also don't have such astounding abilities that let them survive by themselves. Really, it has to be after an average of 3 years that members of an idol group really start to show their solo talents. It's not because they don't have abilities, but that it takes them 3 years to build up their own popularity and find a path of work wherein they can adapt to. There needs to be more time before each of the 2PM members can seperate on their own and at least scrape by as celebrities.
Right now, if you ask the public to name their (2PM's) member names, they can probably only name Nichkhun, Ok Taecyeon, and maybe Hwang Chansung if they saw Uncontrollable High Kick. Nichkhun already succeeded in Thailand, but the other five members need to get their names known, and it's highly improbable that 1 year and a half is enough time to make their existence known and secure their solo careers. Before that, it's a high possibility that 2PM will be dismantled without a sound. Time can heal everything can't be true. For this to come true, there's too many idols in the Korean pop world, and there are more than sufficient idol groups that have better abilities/skills, as well as better images who can replace 2PM, so there's really no reason to keep viewing 2PM as a good group.
I think everyone knows that they have only a little time left (as an idol group), except for them. Or it could be that they already know, but they're just not showing it. Even if they dismantle the group and they start pursuing their solo careers, the stamp that says, 'Betrayer' will be on their foreheads during all the time they have a foot in the entertainment industry. A professor who appeared on 'To Sunday Night' in last year's November, said that there are so many things to do other than be a celebrity in the world. I don't know why they're being celebrities and receiving enough curses to last their lifetime compressed (into the brief period of their career). They're only going to get a stomachache if they receive so many insults.
In a sentence. 2PM is being destroyed.
P.S. I heard that 2PM got a commercial contract with It's Skin. My first thought is that the marketing team that contracted with them (2PM) in this situation is insane. Even though the cosmetic company is cheap, it isn't good to also use a cheap model as well. It's a fact that you're going to get a stomachache if you eat anything and everything because it's cheap.
