[NEWS] 2PM parties with fans at first solo concert

The six-member Korean boy band brought the house down with their singing prowess and slick dance moves

Korean boy band 2PM definitely lived up to their name of being 'beastly idols'. The six-member group had no qualms going topless, providing much eye-candy for fans at a concert which lasted about three hours.

Held at the Singapore Indoor Stadium yesterday, 2PM performed to a 7000-strong crowd, complete with stunning laser effects and pyrotechnics.

Decked in a myriad of colourful jackets and black pants, the six men opened the night with the highly energetic 'Hot' and 'Electricity'. Fans held their specially made LED boards quickly, trying to catch the members' attention.

By the third song 'Hands Up' -- of which the music video was shot in Singapore -- the stadium was transformed into one large party, with fans rocking on the balls of their feet and putting their hands up on the right beat during the chorus.

Not only did 2PM sang their hits like '10 out of 10', 'Again & Again' and 'I'll Be Back', members also performed solos and duets, showing a different side of themselves.

Members Junho and Wooyoung performed 'Beside U', a song composed by the former. The duo had such good chemistry with each other, that their polished dance moves were always in sync.

Later, Nichkhun and Taecyeon, both dressed in preppy suits, shared stage for 'My Valentine'. Youngest member Chansung showed off his martial arts skills as he brandished a sword and battled dancers and silhouettes.

Finally, Junsu -- one of the main vocalists in 2PM -- took on his Jun.K persona, singing and dancing to his solo 'Alive'.

But what would a 2PM concert be, if the boys did not reveal the slightest bit of their chests?

The group teased the fans initally, unbuttoning only the top buttons of their shirts during the song 'I Hate You'. The next song 'Back to You' saw the six members performing a sexy dance with their female dancers to the R&B beat, and finally revealing their toned abs to the audience.
During 'Only You', 2PM wowed fans with baskets of red roses, handing out the stalks of flowers to fans in the three mosh pit areas. For the encore, 2PM sang 'Thank You', a song for their fans.

It was definitely a night of non-stop partying with 2PM. There was rarely a dull moment, as the members made efforts to engage the audiences in English and gave them what they wanted, including going topless at the very last bit of their concert.

As the members slowly retreated backstage, Chansung remained at the front of the stage, as he said his goodbyes. A little while later, the 21-year-old took off his shirt, wrung it and threw it towards the mosh pit, much to the glee of lucky fans there.

Taecyeon later returned to stage and followed suit, throwing two of his white singlets towards the fans on both side of the stage.

Many times during the concert, 2PM never failed to thank Hottests (name of their official fan club) for their support. The group also promised to return to Singapore.

Speaking in fluent English, Nichkhun said, "This was a great night. We'll do this again. We'll come back for you guys. I had fun."

Taecyeon then thanked the fans for coming and told the audience to give "yourselves a big round of applause".

"You guys are crazy tonight! Thank you to the staff, dancers and everybody!" Junsu said.
